Thirteen words into the book of Acts, and I'm already seized by the tenor of triumph.
That one word, "began."
The whole (previous) Gospel full...
Luke says it was just the beginning.
Just the start.
That's really, really good news.
"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour..." 2 Cor 2:14, 15a

Day 300, here we come!
We were out hiking yesterday--all mumbling the verses under our breaths (trying to get a head start:)...And it hit me too!
ReplyDeleteI turned to my mom, "This was just the beginning! His earthly ministry was just the beginning!..." And I'm thankful...He lives to make intersession for us
So fun to memorize with others! thanks for the challenge. We are enjoying it!
Wow! What a promise... (although I must admit I didn't catch it--my thoughts were too absorbed in verse 3, focusing in on "infallible")
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try to do it. I think I got vs. 1 down, yesterday. I'm not sure how I can find time to do this (through human eyes) but God will help me. Oh, how I want to have this book in my mind...and I know He wants that, too! Thank you very much for sharing 2 Cor. 2:14-15a.
